Cody Hokanson was born at a very young age in Groom Lake, Nevada. His first memory was at the age of three, helping his father dig a hole for their family bomb shelter. Cody remembers his father coming home from his job at a snake milking facility. He would pick Cody up, bundle Cody up in his arms, and smile as he told Cody to grab him a low sugar, diet virgin rainwater from the fridge. Cody has very fond memories of his father. Cody's mother died before he was born, and his father shouldered all the responsibilities of motherhood along with all his own preexisting ones. Cody had two siblings; a sister and a brother. He also had a pet house centipede. Cody attended Dr. Arkenstone's School for Troubled Lungs for his elementary and middle school years. Afterwards, he attended The University of Beans and earned his master's degree in political science. After a few short years of living in his small apartment near his hometown, Cody moved to Washington D.C. and submitted his resume to become the campaign manager of the Bovine Party. Much to his dismay and the Bovine Party’s misfortune, Cody was accepted.
